Air Dominicana
The new Dominican airliner, Air Dominicana, an affliate of Air Europa of Spain, has arrived in the country with it's new boeing 737 airplane.

Do you think Air Dominicana will fly high or eventually crash like previous international airliners?

RE: Air Dominicana
Air Dominicana just finished off its 50 hour flight requirement over DR soil. It can now start flying internationally. I heard it will take off in June.

Air Dominicana, being a pilot, I just hope this is being run by a respectful group and that the airport employees dont use it as a drug transport method..

I hope so too. I hope the airline can be a model of integrity, respect, and customer service for others currently on the market.

I pray for this not to be another fiasco like the one posed by the late Dominicana de Aviación.

Yea but you gotta admit their commercial jingle was catchy...I still hear it in my head sometimes..lol

One of my acquaintances told me that the planes used by that company tended to rattle a lot, specially during landings. Is this true?

RE: Air Dominicana
Delta will stop service from JFK to SDQ in September as well as from Ft. Lauderdale to SDQ. Also, AMerican recentley slashed flights to DR from 9 a day to five a day with two daily flights to SDQ from JFK.. La cosa se esta poniendo dificil!!!!!!! It's getting harder to fly to DR. I wonder what they are going to do for Christmas time, they better have more flights avaliable. The demand will always be there and Dominicans are willing to pay any price to head home for the holidays.

American now has only one daily flight to Punta Cana from JFK that is going to hurt tourism a bit. I know connections are avaliable to DR but still, the fact that the non-stop flights are being cancelled are a major concern!!!
