1.Haitians hold second election round amid violence Yesterday - 12:36 PM

2.Gunfire disrupts funeral in Haiti Saturday - 1:29 AM

3.Why the call to end sexual violence continues to go unabated in Haiti?

I'd like to address an issue that I have hinted at before;
What are these topics doing in Dominican Today?

Case in Point: Today's DT page;

I believe that there is a duality displayed here on this spot of cyberspace; When we see examples 1 and 2 above as headlines, and example 3 as a special interest story.
Why are there constant Hatian oriented stories when this webpage purpots to call itself Dominican? And it's no accident since this is an observable pattern.
Are we attempting to print all the news that's fit to print (In respects to DR, of course)?
Or, are we 'baiting' the reports to add to the already explosive atmosphere rife with controversy?
What's with the foreign coverage slanted towards Haiti? The last time I checked DR was still a sovereign nation; How can you claim to be a Domincan News Source, when you include all this collateral foreign interest material? What part of Dominican is all this extra baggage?

Folks, I wonder what other Dominicans who read these stories think?
Esto esta raro! Y me tiene chivo hace ya un rato.

What do you Dominicans, say?

Mirabal.

That's exactly what I'm saying here. I watch the headlines to keep up with what's up on the home turf, but besides the stories I read these tales from Haiti. If I wanted those stories I'd check elsewhere!

Some are some ain't. What does that have to do with you?

The ones that are pure black resent you meddling in their heritage.
The ones that are white also resent foreigners analyzing their pedigree.
The ones that have several races are happy with it!

So, Catracho interloper, I suggest you go to Puerto Cortes or Roatan to do your anthropological studies there. There, you will have plenty of 'Garifuna', Misquito, Carib, and West Indian elements to work with.
I'm not at all impressed with your nation, either, Maje!
So, do yourself a favor and go and run your game at Olancho Today!
Here, we got better things to do than consider who makes a better nacatamal.
We know who we are, no need for a Central American to define us. We've done just fine without your help so far; why do we need your opinions now?

That's why I don't want most Haitians in DR. They are more aggressive than us and as a group we are already aggressive enough summing more poverty up will make more missery, -2x1=-2.
I always almost laugh whenever a Haitian who is pro-invasion says something about "bettering the island" in the same argument. We have already enough chimpouts in DR, please no le pongas mas lenha al fuego.
