The metro itself is a good project and if the people start using it it may be the first step to start limiting the "concho" way of transport, which is very inneficient in congestion and energy and pollutes a lot. My major concern is with the long term viability. Both in mantainance, as we know this wouldn't be the first major project that doesnt get proper mantainance, and the economic feasability, since the costs seem to be quite high. So, If everything works out well, it's progression, if it doesn't, then it's just another failed project, only it'll sit at the top of the rankin in amount of wasted money. Montate Papa, sin miedo. A great idea. I just hope they built it correctly and didn't take any short cuts which can cause a major disaster. The rapid pace of construction worries me but I hope the authorities are competent enough not risk the lives of so many people for a few bucks ! In the mean time, I await the official opening of the metro later on this year. |

Do you think this guy has any credibility or is this another politically motivated event by the opposition party? Check out this link http://www.listindiario.com.do/app/article.aspx?id=54994 |

I mean we are suppose to have 24 hours electricity, here in Cabarete, but its more like 24hrs minus 3,4 or like yesterday 8, last week 30hrs , I Mean please dont get me wrong its better than before, but how can they assure that Elec. will be provided at all times in the metro. And now Edenorte says that we will keep on getting Power Outages, due to maintenance work on the power lines, up untill May 16. (how convenient we might have power outage for the elections) Power cuts due to ongoing repairs http://www.sosuanews.com/index.php Last time i check in Forida, FPL does not have to have blackouts to do there work.
