More experts are speaking out about last week's (November 20) arrest of pop star Michael Jackson on child molestation charges. Michael Borack, a forensic psychiatrist at the University Of Cincinnati Medical School, has evaluated many pedophiles, and says Jackson does not fit the usual profile. Borack told ABC News, "(His eccentric behavior) is not typical of most offenders. Most offenders are 'normal' people who could be your neighbors, not freaky or weird."

Richard Lawlord, a child psychiatrist at the Indiana School Of Medicine, said Jackson may be suffering from some form of arrested development that causes him to focus his attention on young children over other adults. Lawlord said, "They become 'fixated' during development. We don't know why." However. Lawlord says Jackson's childlike behavior would be rare among pedophiles. He said, "I don't think that kind of behavior is very common."

Pedophilia has been linked to a kind of Peter Pan syndrome, in which adults use children to hang onto their youth. However, John Hopkins University psychiatrist Dr. Fred Berlin said that explanation is too hasty. He said, "That's getting into a theory of cause, which I think is difficult." Berlin added there is no, quote, "typical" pedophile. He said, "That's like saying, 'What is the typical heterosexual?'"

Regardless of what may or may not have happened with Jackson, experts agreed that children should not be sleeping in the bed with unrelated adults, as the pop star has admitted he's often done, saying there was nothing sexual about it. Borack said, "It just opens the door for misunderstandings at best."
The psychiatrist added that Jackson's alleged abuse at the hands of his father may explain his odd behavior as an adult. Borack said, "From what I've observed in TV interviews, Jackson had a violent, dictatorial father and an isolated upbringing. He never really had a childhood."

After reading them, I don’t know how Michael Jackson didn’t get jail time. Actually, I do know. He’s a famous superstar who has hundreds of millions of dollars. The relationship the kid describes looks innocent enough until after several months. Then things go completely wrong. Michael Jackson has SEVERE problems and should get serious help. Superstar or not, he should be in jail and listed in the pedophile database. It’s sick. Sad and sick.

(And he did not invent the moonwalk!)

Well whether he did those things or not there is no question the final stage of his life was a strange and twisted story. Before all that happened he left quite a mark on popular music, American and worldwide. Hopefully in death he has found peace, or maybe his just rewards.

MJ was a MegaStar.... Talent like that comes around once or twice in a lifetime. I am priviledged to have seen both MJ and Elvis, both in my short life. Greater Talent is rarely witnessed. RIP MJ.

i was just thinking about that antonio. i would like to know all the surgeries that he had. i know most of them. he probably had to touch up on some of the same facial spots especially his pinnochio nose. his nose could barely hold up.

why do you have to rail on the guy when he is dead? i do credit you for being real about it cause their are alot of hypocrites right now mourning him when they were just cursing him yesterday like you are now. their is no evidence on any of the cases that were presented throughout the years. oj is the one that should be on the eletric chair for his thuggery. michael jackson when confronted with the question as to why he spends so much time with children simply replied. Children are the only ones that tell the truth. simple but profound. rip michael

Always loved Michael! Just listening to the songs or watching tapes my mom got me brings me back to when I was 5 and I tipped my little star-studded hat down on my head, snapped the fingers on my right hand to the side... man I always wanted the glove. He was and always will be amazing, iconic, and a legend. He had so much power and fame. With humans those two things are never handled perfectly or good enough. Yesterday, today, & tomorrow- I love you Michael!
