Just where in thehell do you get off by asserting that anyone is entitled to anything that they don't acqure through their own individual efforts and ambition? That idea is the root of the problem in the first place and the foundation for the ongoing conflict between Socialism and Capitalism. In your paragraph A of the post you appear to be thinking clearly but in para B, you again fall apart with your assertion about "Compassionate Insurance" being FREE. Ain't nuthin FREE my friend. To begin with if an employer provides you with FREE insurance, he has reduced your wages or foregone your next raise to cover the cost of that insurance. If the Govm't provides the insurance, it is paid for by increased taxes across the board, so your point is moot and fallacious to say the least. On top of that it is naieve to believe such garbage. As to the"extended warranties" being a form of insurance, well, you might stretch your imagination on that score by defining it as such, but in reality, warranties, as such are nothing but marketing devises designed to lure you into buying a particular product and you pay for that through higher prices on that item. Extended Warranties fall in the same definition. Part 2 is not really accurate and in my estimation is based entirely on fallacious reasoning. Part 3 FYI, "Wealth Creators" are not just individuals who have more money than you, but are also made up of Gov't entities which take your money, businesses which provide you with the wherewithal of surviving through the wages they pay you andothers. Before you go off on a tangent like most adherents of socioeconomic equality, reamember that you are part of the wage-earner camp and have those both above you and below you in the wage structure andthat you receive "WAGES" for you labor, whether it be in theform of money, housing, food, health care, et., etc. It's ALL classified as a distributive share of "Wages" in any economic theory. Those "Wealth Distributors" are nothing but arbitrary individuals who decide who gets what and how much. That's after they take out what it costs to run a bloated composition of gov't workers who, for themost part are there by reason of "brother-in-law" pilosophy. Something like the DR Gov't is today. Too many of you totally disregard that simple fact. You go on to identify the "chain of command" of a POLICE STATE as the operative government in such a system. By presenting such an organizational chart, you have blown your whole theory of Communism being the bulwark of Freedom and Utopis. Cuba and North Korea are given as being representative of your "IDEAL" State., whereas their reputation in the arena of human rights, their support of individual freedoms and their very performance in the arena of financial security and the advancement thereof remains in utter chaos. Their people cannot travel outside the country andif caught trying to do so are either shot or placed in prison with other "political malcontents". What goes on in those prisons is not known by the outside world. You describe a very oppressive government, and that, my friend, is what I have spent a lifetime combatting. X are typically a class of highly trained government bureaucrats who are being watched by a class of ________ commissars, who, in turn, are being watched by a class of secret police, all of whom are banded together by shared ... morals. Because ... morals are relative by definition, a certain measure of absolute propaganda is necessary to encourage ______ and discourage counter revolution. Since such propaganda is delivered through mass media, arts, and schools, a degree of ideological monopoly, uniformity, and censorship is also required in those fields. The resulting mass enthusiasm creates a vibrant state-subsidized culture, leading to great economic successes and technological breakthroughs Wow, take out the ironic commie labels and this structure also sounds much like Japan...or the EU...or hell much like any nation-state with functioning elite classes. You can fill this in for the right or the left. The only difference ideological terms & language make is to express the alleged principles of these elites, but this is the same structure of any developed nation-state that has advanced and accomplished anything. No single extreme is good. The right political system comprises a well-balanced combination of both sociodemocratic and capitalist views. Edited on 6/6/2008 8:15 AM by buenoha. |

Why do we need this half-measure if we could just go straight to communism? A communist economy will not function until every single citizen has become the New Man, a new breed of selfless collectivist eager to toil without compensation, for the sheer joy of toiling. Our state-funded scientists are currently breeding the New Man through a combination of stem cell research and education. Until then we must maintain People's Capitalism and allow small amounts of greed and selfishness to create capitalist wealth that we later confiscate for The Greater Good™. A thoroughly cultivated atmosphere of guilt associated with profiteering, forces capitalists to donate even more money for progressive causes. Such symbiosis between wealth creators and wealth consumers has been achieved in most European countries and to some extent in the United States. lets get ready to RUUMMMMMMBBBLLLEE |

What you advocate is TOTAL SUBMISSIVENESS by each and every individual to the dictates of those who think they have the right to control anddirect every aspect of the human equation of personality andcharacter. Whatthey strive for is a world of ROBOTS who haven't a thought in their wee brains because it has been bred out of them by group of people who have been designated to create the PERFECT ROBOTIC INDIVIDUAL. DO YOU want to be like that sort of mindless machine, responding to the whimsical meanderings of an unfettered egotistical commissatiate? Do you want to become less than HUMAN, denied the exercising of your God-given RIGHT to be the Captain of your own Soul? If you do, you might as well slash your wrists and go out like other cowards of your ilk who just don't want to put out the effort to elevate themselves or their posterity to a higher plane of existance. If you truly believe the unmitigated tripe you have just published, then you're worse off than I realized. I really thought you had some semelence of common sense, but you have just proved the contrary. TexasBill Texas Bill (The EYES of Texas are upon YOU, so be nice) |

Your posts were confusing me, to say the least, since you hadn't posted anything like it in the past. My responses are/were a knee-jerk/kick reflex and I certainly fell into your trap. Mea Culpa. Be assured that I will not repeat such in the future. It sometimes takes us "old fuddies" a little time to see through the rhetoric being spewed forth. No harm done. Take care.
