Haiti & DR not too different in terms of the percentages of ancestral stock. Haiti has whites, mulattos, grimos, etc. Its just that our terms are different. Haiti has a better defintion of 'whiteness'.

that was a joke. Haiti is majority pure black africans with a significant minority of "grimo" (dark mulattos) and a small minority of mulattos. Like I said, medium-brown skinned haitians are common in new york, at least about as common as seeing a light skinned dominican.

I've seen footage of washington heights and the dominicans there are darker than the ones I've seen in Queens or brooklyn, many of those washington heights guys could even pass for haitian.
