We gave them all the logical explanations of why booms are essential in a capitalist economy, but it seems impossible due to their fixed pessimistic mindset and lack of brain function for economic knowledge. DIOSPATRIALIBERTAD real knowledge? Eriliza, i am a patient person, and i have a particular reluctance to get into confrontations of any kind with women. but, you have just taken your silliness a little too far with your latest remarks. i can still be patient with you, because it is evident that you are young and optimistic, two things which , as an amalgam, can be very positive. so, a word of caution. temper your words with circumspection, and realise when you are out of your depth. and , go easy on the insults. i have forgotten more about economic theory than you will probably ever learn. i will bet my Masters of Arts in Economics from Fordham against whatever you bring. and don't bring Gizmo; he is still puzzled by the aplhabet. |

Eriliza: Jsut because they are diffrerent opinions than yours doesnt mean they/we have lesser economic knowledge or more insulting (and deeper understanding of your brain) that we/they have a faultering brain. There are different schools of thinking, e.g. fresh water school of economics (M Friedman) and saltwater schools ..even Keynes evolved to Post and Neo Keynes... One of the benefits of taking debate classes in school is that one evaluates the information being presented and not if it is along your personal line of thought. Many times we had to prepare to defend premises that are not within our beliefs and/or positions. My drive is that debating or discussing a subject is precisely that... a discussion is where we will find a battle of ideas for the benefit of all , where more times that not we can leave a subject feeling stronger about it or reconsidering ones position on it...... or maybe not... but we will leave with something. in my opinion, there seems to bealot of arbitrary constructon in DR ... that is usually a huge sign of corruption.... innecesary use of raw material for an uncertain future in times of need, ! |

You with a Master's in Economics should realize that booms do keep up a society who uses a capitalist system in their economy. You don't have to take my word for since according to you I am young and optimistic, but you can look into as many sources as you want and they will tell you what I am trying to portray. The best thing we can do is wait until these proyects are built and functioning and see what happens after that. That is all we can ever do indeed, although you are still going to complain about the boom no matter what. One more thing, you as a gentleman, please refrain from mentioning my name in every post that you make! DOMINICAN DOMINICAN DOMINICAN |

PAY ATTENTION! that is how it works! so stop getting so defensive. if i post something, the respondent usually prefaces his response by saying something like "Dreadlocks said", before giving his rejoinder. a word of caution; this posting business can turn real adult, real fast. if you cannot take the heat, i suggest you turn off the stove. you might want to stay on the sidelines and observe awhile, and try again when you think you are ready for these leagues. some real bruisers inhabit the broadband, so consider yourself fortunate you ran into a gentleman. so, before you go on this stroll of yours into the land of put-downs, i suggest you grow a few additional layers of skin, or buy an armadillo coat. certain guys here can play real rough. i know; just read Tupapaupa! |
