Came here at the age of 4 and lived here until last year. I am 28 years old, did high school at Adlai E. Stevenson High School and received a Bachelors degree from Baruch College in NYC. I am a US citizen but first and most of all I am a Dominican citizen! That is one of the priveleges we have when DR decided to grant us dual citizenship! I left the states last year for good and established myself in Santo Domingo con una mano adentro y otra atras! I was tired of hearing all this negative attitude that us Dominicans love to promote about our island. Guess what? Today I am a small business owner and living the way I never dreamed of. I made DR my land of opportunities! I will always love NYC but never more than this beautiful land called QUISQUELLA! |

It is true that we still have alot of issues which need to be worked on but compared to the way we were 10, 20 years ago we are much better now. I have faith that our country will develope its infrastructure as it is doing and will develope its Public Health, Public Education and housing systems in benefit of the poor. |

They should put that money into education and therapy to teach Dominicans to stop being such confused bigots. Well, at least the money is for one of the good causes that the government and investors can spend and not on other unnecessary things that at the end would not benefit the country and its citizens.
