I'm really surprised nobody has commented on this yet.

Leonel has fired Radhames Segura from the CDEEE, and gave the job to Celso Marranzini, who has been an outspoken critic of the former for quite a while.

Among other things, Marranzini has blasted Radhames on nepotism(are all of his 40 family members getting the boot too?), the bloated payrolls, the cost of electricity, etc. etc.

It should be very interesting to see what Celso gets done.....

Time to put up, or shut up..

I hope this guy is given the chance to clean up, it could be the start of something really big..

Because we don't have faith in seeing anything being done to address the sector's ancestral crisis. There are too many interests conspiring against ANY kind of progress on this sector. Everyone from the gov. to Celso's business buddies have a stake in the current status quo, so if the DR is ever to be blackout free, it would have to be on the moment that the population demands an end to it sword in hand, so to speak. Only the threat of unspeakable violence can force anything to be done on this country with the promptness required by the times.
