Finally got a web site started. Stay tuned for lots of fotos videos and other educational data. We are looking for any people interested in starting organic vegetable farms to join a co-op we are presently organizing. Warning! Growing organic vegetables in the DR is not for the faint of heart. Its hard work, takes constant research and development. Every part of island has its own micro climate that has to be approached accordingly. I will be giving an introductory one day workshop on Permaculture at the Institute in Los Brazos. Anyone interested can contact me and when I have enough people interested I will set a date and time etc. If you want and you can organize a large enough group in your area of the island I will come to your area to do a workshop. We plan on having an Organic Food Festival soon as we can organize relevant participants. Contact me if you are interested in being on my newsletter list for any of above info. phone available on request |
