I don't know what SOME means to Canadians but here in the USA it means "being a portion or an unspecified number or quantity of a whole or group". In other words, a PORTION of scholars agree that William was indeed not a homosexual. So Mr. Olmstead, based on your own post one can easily verify that it's not just four scholars that share the opinion that William of Orange might've been a homosexual. One will be hard pressed to find such commentary on any number of historical figures. No rumors of Washington being a homosexual, or Napoleon or Charlemagne. But William of Orange? Definitely! As for rumors on the incumbent: He's a contemporary high-profile figure in a world saturated with media. No one that shares that with the president is safe from rumors, whether they be stars, politicans, or moguls. And I am in no position to verify or deny any rumors circling the president's person.
