Some of those cuban exiles in Miami are the real classy sort.

How many political prisoners were freed as a result of the Juanes concert?

None.

How many Cubans no longer have a ration card as a result of the Juanes concert? None.

How many Cubans are now allowed the Right of Free Speech as a result of Juanes concert? None.

How many Cubans are now allowed to travel as a result of the Juanes concert? None.

How many Cubans are now allowed internet access as a result of the Juanes concert? None.

How many Cubans are now allowed to voice dissent without fear of arrest as a result of the Juanes concert? None.

How many Cubans are now free as a result of the Juanes concert? None.

How many of the poor downtrodden people oth World were given hope hat even in a poor coutnry they could enjoy health care, good education, long life, the right to decent work?
These are surley the achievements by nations such as Cuba that if reproduced in other countries will bring peace to the World. Half or more of many nations are too poor to travel - the right is of academic interest only. Free speech oly means in the US that people like Irving who deny the holocaust ....
http://theholocauststory.blogspot.com/2005/11/david-irving-and-holocaust-denial.html
There are les Cubans locked up in jail as a proportion of the population than the US. Prisons are big business in the US..... quoting a christian mag....

Prison populations are far lower in Europe.
Better not spit on the sidewalk in the US.
Fred being his usual idiotic self

Give me liberty or give me death!

Of course gen, you are perfectly free to walk on the moon- if you can pay the 100 billion dollars it might cost. You are also in the US free to write near hate literature against any group you choose. You should alos be fee to fly to Thailand and denounce their King everyone bows to.... Oh yes and import drugs, run a slave camp in the junglese of Brazil - and Oh yes spit on the sidewalk. Of course one of the Americans biggest abuses of freedom is that they trash the planet - by pollution and global warming.
p.s. You should not only be free to carry a gun but have an anit aircraft missile in you backyard in case someone tries to bomb your house.

"anti aircraft missile in your back yard", now why didn't I think of that! That is a damn good idea!.LOL
BTW: Lilis (Ulysses Heureaux) outlawed spitting in the sidewalk, when he bent to pick up what he thought was a silver coin. LOL

Sounds like you don't have liberty so you should choose death!

Freedom comes from the natural state of things. Both US society and countries like Cuba are not natual. The riht to free travel only extends to merchants in the Magna Carta.

abc: I do believe in self euthanasia, or choosing your final exit or departure date from this world. Although the Japanese seppuku, seems a bit too dramatic and messy, for my taste.
When the time comes and the "expiration date" nears, an abundant morphine shot would do the job.
Ignorance is temporary, stupidity lasts forever.

Sounds to me if you are all set to do the kamikaze attacking some symbol of something you do not like - perhaps Gaddafis's tent or the UN - or Castro's mansion..... in defense of supposed freedom. I'm talking peace and brotherly love man... with a small state that has organised itself rather well by the standards of other state over the last 50 years. We all share the same sun yet some on whom it shines are imbued with this hate thing.

Persons that proclaim the virtues of a police state like the ones that exist in Cuba, where freedom, individual liberties, right to transit, and free speech are curtailed, should be the ones that either go live in the island prison, or spare the rest of humanity their blessed righteousness, sucking on the tit of a capitalistic country, and jump of the nearest bridge.
Ignorance is temporary, stupidity lasts forever.

Desireable freedoms are unfortunately curtailed for many in many states. The US included.
Freedom from hunger, freedom from disease though an adequate health service, freedom from undignified work conditions, freedom to attend school and be educated, freedom to breate clean air and drink clean wate etc. etc. However complete freedom is neither desirable or sustainable. You do not have to read my posts, but I'm sure you love them really - a breath of fresh clean air among the postings emanating from turgid US hacks?
