Indeed Haiti should rectify the error made by Bill Clinton and thank the DR themselves. I believe this was a simple mistake made by Bill Clinton much like when an artist won an award they may not actually call out every single known individuals they might know, but perhaps meant to thank every single one persons at heart. In other words, certain things are meant and gone without saying. He was just giving examples and okay it was unfortunate DR did not get mentioned. However, it does not mean it was intentionally done or he misses DR on purpose. Let us not be too literal and over analytical about this.

P.S: It would be naive to assume that Haiti is not thankful of DR having been there thus far in spite of known speculated differences there may be.

This was a speech to a group of people who would not understand the interjection of your national pride in his speech Bubba and his old lady are very familiar with the realities of this subject and how important the DR is to the equation

It was a prepared speech and Bill Clinton is a statesman. I don't think the emotions of the crowd overwhelmed him with tears.
