I have a hardly ever used wheel chair of someone that past away and want to get it down there before Xmas. This is to give it to some one that is in real need of a wheel chair and can not afford one (I am not trying to get it down there and sell it). Thanks Asociación Dominicana de rehabilitación Att: Mary Marranzini http://www.adr.org.do/ Is the safest and best solution. Thanks! I have alot of gently used clothes that would be good for the very poor areas. Do you know of a clothes donation program? |

Again best bet is to contact charity organizations in the states that send clothes to DR and Haiti, used garments are not allowed to enter DR, as part of customs rules. They are sent to Haiti and then transported across the border and sold in DR flea markets. "Speak softly, and carry a big stick, you will go far". |

Thanks For the past 7-8 years, I've been sending boxes to the DR, with WHATEVER I want......used clothing, food, electronic.......man, I even sent an A/C and a 20 inch tv in one. Computers, laptops, digital cameras, video cameras, home theater systems....you name it, I've sent it. It's door to door and not ONE of my boxes has ever been opened!.....(I guess the person I use have some connections over there). Ask them and I am more than positive that if they don't do it themselves, they will tell you who does. I am "An Army Of One" ![]() Come Get Some!!. |
