Which might explains his support for Reagan. Though, absolutely true about Reagan. What about the others? Edited on 10/24/2009 11:03 AM by guillermone. |

Well, i wouldnt call Sir Winston the greatest statesman of teh 20th century... he was certainly the right man for the time and he was dead right opposed to Germany for the longest... and it wasnt like he was overlooked by the Nobel prize since he did get a lit nobel. |

Plenty think WC was the greatest: Winston Churchill (1874-1965), the greatest statesman of the 20th century, told the English people he had nothing to offer them but "blood, toil, tears, and sweat." For posterity, however, he left behind some of the greatest books and speeches ever written: http://www.claremont.org/publications/bookshelf/pageID.150/default.asp Not many statesmen get the Nobel for literature. http://www.ehow.com/how_2153170_appreciate-winston-churchill.html https://www.cambridge.org/asia/catalogue/catalogue.asp?isbn=9780521845908 S. |

So far the only person we can scratch off the list is Ronald Reagan. WC I will leave. How about the rest as worthy to receive the Nobel Peach Prize? |

Peace Iraq Afghanistan Korea Iran Venezuela Somalia Hamas Hezbollah Good will only applies to people who are already at peace with the US anyhow and who fawn over Obama like schoolgirls but the thugs who hate the US only see weakness in Obama's feel good blathering and will be emboldened to push the envelope even further until it's too late. With so many people who actually DID something to bring about REAL peace it is nauseating that they picked the candidate with the least accomplishments . Los enemigos de la Patria, por consiguiente nuestros, están todos muy acordes en estas ideas; destruir la nacionalidad aunque para ello sea preciso aniquilar a la Nación entera si vis pacem para bellum |
