Do you happen to have any pictures? That is by or around the vicinity of La vega, DR very picturesque place. Anyway, how could you have mentioned that it was the best place in Dr and a heaven on earth? How do you know if you have never been, have you heard about it from people? Yes, it is a nice place and if you are into hiking the mountains you will be just in the right place for that as well. I am Vegano.... that answer your question....... |

Samana is also very beautiful. Bayahibe is a sleeper. Small fishing village where the boats to Soana Island leave from. It was the highlight of my 12 days hiking around the east coast. Escott |

It is just a tiny tiny village, but I was talking about the beach and the atmosphere. Most dominicans go there with relatives anyway, so the way they enjoy the place is different to the way tourists enjoy it. Tourists want to be entertained, dominicans entertain themselves with their relatives. They eat fried fish and Johny cakes, dance bachata/merengue or even salsa, swim in the gorgeous sea, take pictures and are happy for the day. What more does a man need?
