This fairy tale ended in the opposite direction as your usual fairy tale. It ended for the worse.

Enter the scene the PRD party the same party who raised hell against the Government for so many years. Let me give you a brief history of this party. This once lefty organization composed mainly of lefty/commies/radical. The party head was no other than Juan Bosch. They pushed aside Bosch in late 73 they were some friction within the party after our commie Caamano invaded DR from Cuba that same year and received no support from anybody. Bosch claimed he left the PRD on his own to create another party the PLD. This new party owns foundation the PLD was of a MARXIST agenda in which their own curriculum/journal VALGUARDIA DEL PUEBLO helped organize the legendary Cuban newspaper Gamma.


Well it seen all those years the PRD was seating in the minority they were studying, Ulises Heaureaux’s playbook how to get back at the country who kept them in the minority for so long. And pay the country did. From 1978 to 1986 they completely sacked all our country’s resources. This PRD party left the country in bankruptcy.
Our once mighty pesos tumble to the ground by all the excesses and corruption. The Gas price went to the roof. Antonio Guzman all the corruption around him starting with his own daughter got so enormous he killed himself and put himself out of misery. Nevertheless Jorge Blanco beat him to the punch during his term in office he took everything what was left from the previous administration. He took so many loans from the FMI and left the country with no money to pay back inflation went to the roof. The people had enough and went to the streets to change the situation or be killed. DR went into a mini civil war and to prevent an all out civil war Jorge Blanco sent the Army to deal with the population killing many Dominicans way more than Balaguer ever did against our commies. (Jorge Blanco fled the country was repatriated from Venezuela deservedly was convicted on corruption and when Hipolito won the presidency in 2000 the PRD overturned that conviction go figure)


Now who did the people of the Dominican Republic relied on after the chaos and uncertainty in 86?
Was it the lefty "GREAT LEADER" Juan Bosch to the rescue? NO try again
