The best idea would be to equalize wages. In some countries wages had to be paid though the bank.
Only on deposit of 8 weeks pay could someone hire. Each site where work is carried out needs to be registered with a unique number and three Dominicans need to sign the payroll.
The Germans had a good system of hiring Turkish and other foreign workers. They could enter with a visitors visa - a company had to advertise the post for Germans - then if no applicants a Turkish worker could be employed - initially on one year contract.

abc,
it is not an issue of the hatian people, it is an issue of illegal people. There are not enough jobs for Dominicans alone, now we have over 2 million illegals. equalize the wages is a bad idea in DR... it would just make the rich people richer. You can not compare ever DR problem to Euro problems. We are an island and have more limitations due to the corruption
Well, caballero, think about this:

We can go around and blame illegal Haitians for stealing jobs all we want.........but we need to think about this, which it's a reality::

Who are the ones talking food from the Dominican mouths?........

A) the illegal Haitians or B) those Dominicans hiring illegal Haitians para ahorrar unos pesitos.

even if they ban Dominicans from hiring illegals... the illegals will just buy fake documents. Don't know if we can win this one

Why can't you understand that only 1/3 of the illegal Haitians are hired by Dominicans? Check your numbers, the majority work for themselves, is selfemployed, plus a large number of women, children and elderly, here sharing our scarce resources, don't do any productive work.

the public will need to stop buying from them on the streets then.

The public just has to get more involved and give a hoot in general. Everyone seems to grumble and mumble about it but there needs to be a popular front against this illegal wave. That same popular front would have to stand up to a lot of other things too, I would hope.

Well, I think most of us understand that in order for the issue to be resolved, that 1/3 needs to disappear because as long as there is a 1/3, a 1/4 or a 1/1,000, the issue WILL be alive and well for generations to come.

they should create more jobs that involve deporting illegals. It will be an everyday job and will lower unemployment

Read my lips:

They can "create" all the jobs in the world.....but as long as there's ONE person "willing and able" to accept a bribe, we are back to square one.

The only solution is to bring things back to the old days. Haiti will need to recover and we need a tight border

Which "old days" are you referring to?.

When CRIMINAL Trujillo ruled the DR, his people at the border were getting richer by the minute......

When CRIMINAL Balaguer ruled the DR, his people at the border were getting richer by the minute.......

It was so bad that the US had to intervene.......

He was mainly forced to change military personnel to take over the border........

And what did the new military personnel do?.......

YEAH, you got it, they got caught with their hands in the cookie jar by the US who were "watching them".
