Are members here 100% sure ONLY Haitians are cutting trees to make charcoal?. Man, I should've started a thread with that question........ooooh wellllll. No, but I would guess they are the biggest culprits. Regardless foreigners committing crimes in our territory is a much bigger issue than nationals doing so, in no way excusing Dominicans in breaking the law either. I understand your sentiment about "foreigners committing crimes in our territory"......but what's wrong is wrong, even if done by nationals....... All I am trying to say is that, even if Haitians are the ones who should get most of the blame, I am sure there are a few Dominicans doing it also. The way some members here sound, it's like the Haitians are the ONLY ones doing it. I am not excusing neither, it's wrong and shouldn't be done. Demand creates the supply, So long as haiti lacks ESTUFAS and dollars to buy GAS or Trees of their own to burn them to the ground, some ASSHOLE Dominican will find a way to make a few bucks... There's an environmentaly downturn to our people's entrepeneurship! And those "ASSHOLE Dominican" you talk about are the one who should be taught an example, first and foremost...........desde que los Haitianos vean lo que le pasa a ellos, las cosas se podran mejorar. I think that rotating troops around the border should be a good start |

I think that rotating troops around the border should be a good start The corrupted military personnel, back then, was so out of control that the US HAD to intervene. Care to know what happened AFTER the "munequito de papel" was forced to change those guarding the border?. You guess it, they were also caught, by the US, with their hands in the cookie jar.
