SANTO DOMINGO.-Los institutos Dominicano de las Telecomunicaciones (Indotel), Tecnológico Las Américas (ITLA) y de Formación Técnico Profesional (INFOTEP), lanzaron este lunes el proyecto "Juventud Tecnológica Emprendedora", mediante el cual se otorgará unas cinco mil becas de diplomados y carreras técnicas especiales, para beneficiar a jóvenes del país.

La actividad fue presidida por el director de Indotel, José Rafael Vargas, quien calificó de novedoso el proyecto, pero sobre todo, que va dirigido ayudar a los jóvenes talentos del país.

A juicio de Vargas, el objetivo fundamental del programa es potencializar el espíritu emprendedor de los jóvenes de las diferentes comunidades pobres del país. Los diplomados serán impartidos a nivel nacional.

Además de José Rafael Vargas, en la actividad hablaron los directores del ITLA e INFOTEP, José Armando Tavárez y Josefina Pimentel, respectivamente.

Los funcionarios expresaron que durante seis meses los jóvenes estarán cursando diplomados en sus propias comunidades, a través del portal www.juventec.com y mediante código de acceso que le permitirá acceder al programa.
