Are NGO groups actually helping impoverished "Third World" nations or exploiting them? Please keep in mind that there are several kinds of NGO's. That being said, which of them in particular do you or do you not support? Please write your responses in only (no more or less than) one good paragraphs. This is a small survey I am conducting to see the consensus of many on here regarding NGO's in poor developing countries. So there is no need to directly go at anyone for their respective stances and ideals. Let us see if we possess true civility to voice our ideas in a cordial manner. NOTE: Simply put, I want this to be as productively constructive as possible where everyone can be precise, concise and direct in their elaborations of their opinions, views or points they are trying to make or convey. If so, I do believe many of these organizations can have a hidden agenda (primarily religious). While providing relief efforts, said organizations can use religion doctrines to recruit people. |

Very good indeed in term of defining what NGO means. However, I fail to see your criticism as to whether or not you are for or against NGO's. Nonetheless, religious NGOs are the ones I mostly have problems with as well. Care to elaborate, I feel that we are getting somewhere in commonality if I were to presume your stance here. As i have said before NGOs have lost the real meaning of what their own initials mean NON-GOV Organization but now days they are doing the opposite by trying to change laws in other countries. Most NGO are just legs of big countries and their new way to push agendas forward by no following many international laws already establish that as of now don't apply to NGOs but most of those countries are waking up to that. just like Non-Profit Organization went down so NGOs will go down too. There are NGOs that do provide help by those are the very small ones that are headed by ordinary people with a desire to really help. Edited on 11/9/2009 1:28 AM by Belly.
