It takes a greater man to look beyond the obvious but strengthen themselves with the opponents strong points. Cuba has many downfalls but has many strong points...and which ones are more important will always be a battle ground. My view is that we should learn from Cuba's mistakes and embrace those that did work. Let us not forget that Castro was dealt a losing hand from the begining and had produced some fantastic results in some areas.

When I interject in defense of the Revolution is when it is given zero merits and that is absolute nonsense. Yes, it has much to desire, but given there resources and historical positioniung and am aghast at the results. Their weak posiion economically sets them up to be bullied, as opposed to more extreme govt's the US gets in bed with.
