Could it be due to the known affinities most of us have about an "End Of The World" that both religious sickos and cynics have in common in anticipating? Just a wild guess, why some would want to go see it... I mean, it is a known fact that the Mayans calendar among others actually predict that something big is to occur in 2012. Or if the whole mind boggling concept of inevitability does not give you a hard on to go see this movie, I got nothing  ...Other than than Antho, it beats the hell out of me why anyone might want to go see it.
