Ghana,Africa - The one man changing it all.
in 2001 I had the pleasure/surprise to hear Patrick Awuah speak at BCC in Washington state and he talked about finding ways to help his country with the knowledge he acquired while in USA i was taken into this speaking section by Patrick by a programmer friend of mine who was Dominican too who worked at Microsoft in Redmond,WA. To tell you the truth i didn't wanted to be there but he convinced me to go and hear this guy speak. There was only about 12 people and most were friends of Patrick at Microsoft except me. for my surprise he left WA in 2002 to go back to Ghana,Africa to start a university where Young Ethical leaders could acquire education and a low price and just yesterday i was browsing TED's website and found out that he has been very successful in his mission and is doing very well for his beloved country. Now you maybe be asking why i write this story well is because i believe that there are many even here who have what Patrick has as far as education maybe more but don't have the courage to do that simple step of thinking pass their own self circle to look at a very wide picture that's is DR as a whole. I know there will always be excuses to why not do but everyday that goes by is another day lost to the motherland we all call home.

Here is Patrick Awuah Speaking at TED with his story. I would like all here to pay attention to his story and see how your life could be different if you make hard choices.
