Whatever happened to the movie they were going to make on Rubirosa's life? There was some buzz a few years back about it and then total silence. Anyone know anything? Rubirosa was definitely an interesting individual. Hero or villain? I say neither. Opportunist is a more apt description. "If you're going through hell, keep going." - Winston Churchill |

Like all things it boils down to money and the film industry is the worst because after spending 100 million all that is tangilble left behind is a piece of celluloid...But a well done film would be great for the DR imagine Steven Speilberg and the Hughes story as in Aviator....Tourism dept. would have a windfall and so would Dominican men ....Ciby you would even have more gringa chicks after you than now...think about it and think positive ..ha ha....All those gold tooth nuckle headed reggaeton lovers would have to go and buy suits imagine lets get ready to RUUMMMMMMBBBLLLEE |

To me he was brilliant to have been able to have all these influential connections and still manage to survive for as long as he did without any of them assuming that any day he could have double crossed them, extort them or blackmailed them yet he function with all his connection equally... no matter what, opportunist or not he excel when most mafias, dictators and you name it all types of people have not. If you go the the JFK memorial Library and the JFK building in Massachusetts you will see better pictures and biography of everyone who were JFK's close friends and they had Rubirosa's there... I ask this guy online on here who carries this name if he knew the important of the name as a Dominican, he did not give much insight on the knowledge about the name |
