Dominican-American Authors
What Dominican-American author do you like? I love Junot Diaz, I recommend reading his book, The Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao. It's an easy read and a great window into Dominican culture. It's a world renowned book and a New York Times (NYT) best-seller !

Yes it is cibaeño75, im almost done with the book. Juan bosch was most definitely ahead of his time. I recently ordered the book from amazon after enjoying reading his "Mas Cuentos Escrito en el Exilio" book.

Now that you mention it, another person that comes to mind is Alex jones from Prisonplanet.com and infowars.com. well with the Patriot Act in effect, if USA soil gets attacked again, there will be soldiers patrolling America's streets.

its a shame we do not seem to have any current leaders like Juan Bosch anymore.

It's a shame that Bosch didn't get a chance to lead, preriod.

*******************************************************************

Exactly ! what i would like to know is , what was so threatening in that constitution, that Juan Bosch promulgated On April 29, 1963, that got him a "Golpe de Estado"?

Also if LF was a so called student of Juan Bosch, (which i find hard to believe) why does he not reflect from his Teacher, instead of being a Puppet.

RE: Dominican-American Authors
My favorite book has been “The seven habits of highly effective people” written by Stephen R. Covey. I started reading it because of homework but I enjoyed it so much that I have read it twice. I don’t have a favorite Dominican book, but this hit of Junot Diaz has called my attention… that’s why I will read his book and I am pretty sure that I will enjoy it…
