Heck, we had the LP of that song back in the day, cuando viviamos de aquel lado. Eastern Santo Domingo was a wilderness back in those days, the families living there belonging mostly to military personnel stationed in San Isidro and a few civilian interlopers like us here and there.

Anyway, as far as songs I've heard during my pre-adolescence (I'm 15), I remember having my mom buy me some stupid merengue casette by some guy who sings about pineapples and is holding two pineapples on his hands, horrible, but I liked it then.
