Egal-Igual -Equal is ridiculous ,the fact is that conditions have to be vastly superior for people to leave their country of origin and Haiti was not as bad as it is now plus the climate in DR was much more hostile so many Haitians went back . A similar trend is happening now in the US with many people from Spanish American nations returning to their countries ,not because Mexico is equal to the US but because if you are suffering in another country you might as well suffer in your own .

So moving back was a logical choice ,it does not imply that both countries were at the same level .

Une victoire est une victoire.

So I I beat up someone in the hospital I have really beaten them but I don't brag about beating a sick person .If that is the claim to greatness then you are in serious trouble mon ami.

And then Haitians Like to Fool Themselves saying that They Liberated us...

Not only did they not beat the full power of France but they were subsequently beaten over and over by hicks from the eastern part of La Española ,so following this twisted logic of theirs Dominican Criollo and Mulatto peasants defeated multiple times the army that "defeated " the French so our peasantry was on par with the most powerful armies of the time!!

Of course we don't believe this because we are realists and love our country notwithstanding its shortcomings and will fight to the death when provoked.

Worse of all their "liberation" of the eastern side was a blood soaked march in which every living thing was destroyed by their savage "armies" and the pigs were raped and the women killed (or was that the other way around?) and for this kindness they have earned our eternal "gratitude"

As the old saying goes "with friends like these who needs enemies?"

Pepe you are on a roll please allow to say this PEPE PEPE PEPE PEPE PEPE PEPE

We Dominicans are the most resilient people in the world. We could have allowed the Haitians to do their way with us taking our land, forcing us to pay for their debt, raping our women, forcing our people to leave the Island, ECT. But 90,000 drew a line and said enough is enough and fought against 600,000 of them and beat them even with rock. That show you our determination.

Their defeated army destroyed everything in their way back to their side of the island. They used to throw our kids in the Cibao region up in the air to be awaited by a bayonet. People from the Cibao are told of this and many other savage stories of them. It is passed from generation to generation. So we never forget of what they are capable. LEST NOT FOGET.

And seriously Vacanos, did you even graduate from Elementary School? Let me guess, you dropped out of Elementary School so that you could pick sugarcane? If I didn't know better, from reading your posts I would've assumed you were the little boy in your avatar.

I hear a bird singing a very sad song. Did Vacanos hurt your feeling? If so sing for me mi escuelita and then say perejil for me please. ok your 15 minute with Vacanos is up

RE: Repay what you stole..."la France"
So my friend Pepe,

Did you fight to the death when Toussaint Louverture, Jean Pierre Boyer and the Yankees conquered you? I thought we Haitians were delusional, but I think you the Dominicans beat us squarely in this domain, and I do think it's only in it you can beat us. Because, if you were not a loud mouth, you would have conquered us the same way Toussaint and Boyer did, but you know that in your wildest dream that won't happen. The yankees won't let you be responsible for a jolt of nationalism which will shake our zombified nation, and they are scared like hell to hear the marroon battle cry : "Freedom or Death". And you know when a Haitian yells that at you, the next you'll hear before he comes to get you will be : "Onward Grenadiers! The ones who fall do not count."
It is easy to loudmouth when your GDP is five or six times bigger than ours, but and watch my lips, one day you'll be amazed to see the phoenix reborn from its ashes. I am pretty sure that as usual you'll find many qualities in our people. Don't you worry though, as the Talibs say to the Yankees: " You have the time, we have the watch." We will outlast you.
