You have some very good proposals. I think more jobs should be created out of the PAP metro area and into the rural sections. Another thing is that Port-au-Prince needs to be completely rebuilt. I was reading an article where it stated that, based on how the city is layed out, it was only designed for 300-500 thousand inhabitants. I would like to see PAP resemble the Capitol of Curacao, with all those colorful buildings....now thats beautiful. ANTONIO, Arc is on ignore. We are all ignoring him, he is suppose to still be sleeping as you can see we are continuing without aknowledging any of his posts. He is still either sleeping or on time out in the corner somewhere... until we deem necessary if we ever... (l Edited on 7/10/2008 1:49 PM by AfroLatino. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Haiti is there is a mess is not even a country it's just a messy place so it's deeper then history its occuring as we speak. First learn how to live in harmony in your own country, for over 200 years you've had no real prosperity no balance but turmoil. Dont bring Rafael Leonidas Trujillo to the fray, in fact don't blame Trujillo for nothing. When your pathetic and blood thirsty leaders crossed the dominican side of the island and tried over and over to conquer it, and the people stood up and said "no we dont want to be part of your country!!!!!" what does that tell you. That means that the people spoke and the spirit of separation was alive and well in the consciousness of the dominican people. So dont blame people that were not alive when all of these hateful invasions occurred. Hey Arctype put aside history and everything else, your ATTITUDE man, need a real awakening We must accept finite disappointment, but never lose infinite hope. |

Thus Agriculture that way, most of those peasants who are in PAP may start returning to do what they know best which is the Production National which this investment will be some sort of a quicker beneficial revenue for the economy of the Country. That way will very few and less people remain in PAP, I will start rebuilding and redecorate the City by launching a beautification Campaign project in establishing firm structures and infrastructures and continue with the decongestion-decentralization of PAP until I reduce the population to a satisfactory controllable number by hiring street sanitary inspectors to mandate and control the cleanliness of the city. Most importantly, tolling systems would be placed at every Entrances and Exists of those cities as well as I would start regulate the flow and safety of each sectors of transport accordingly by instituting regular routine stops for inspection of vehicles to maintain their standards in both safety codes and appearance code and if such standard is not met, they will be fined. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

That way the Country can generate more revenue to be invested in more road, street, Highway construction, reconstruction and to help build small local provincial Airports and ports so that all the Country's shipment does not have to take place only in PAP. Nevertheless or regardless of tension, to give some kind of thanks to DR as Haiti progress economically, I would rebuild the City of Ouanaminthe, Haiti to a high standard and placed Haitians guards there to help or work in conjunction with Dominican guards there in establishing a great flow and order of Free trade between the two Nations by demanding that the Dominican Government also improve the look of the city of Dajabon where free trades can take place. Indeed, the borders would be militarized with a new trained joint operation of both Dominican and Haitians guards with border patrols Air, small speed boats, Dirt Bikes and bicycles, cars and foot as I would also place secret agents of HUMAN RIGHTS organizations readily there as well. Also, I would place at the border stronger enforcement to help restrict illegal crossings or crossing without documents into DR as I would with the coordination of the DR government of course, in placing specific Immigration Stations and checking points there so that people can purchase temporary limited duration passes, visas or some kind of work permit with expiration dates those people must abide and adhere to, that even tourists from both sides alike in order to cross the border must show valid proofs and pay a visiting entrance fee and most safeguard such receipt or face the possibility of having to purchase another one upon returning. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

One of the first priorities should be to pave as much roads as possible and modernize Haiti's highway system. Good roads are an essential prerequisite for a prosperous society. I agree with Cibaeño, there needs to be a strong emphasis on few sectors in the short run in order to get Haiti to a point where one can apply conventional economic initiatives that would revive the country in the long run.
