I issued you a challenge 3 times a few weeks ago. You ignored it.

I asked you in a few paragraphs to share words of comfort, for you the ATHEIST, with a grieving widow who has also lost her children in the recent earthquake.

Go for it amigo....after 4 weeks we and this widow are still waiting for the Atheist's words of comfort!

History tells the story of the renowned atheist, Voltaire, one of the most aggressive antagonists of Christianity. He wrote many things to undermine the church, and once said of Jesus Christ, "Curse the wretch. In 20 years, Christianity will be no more. My single hand will destroy the edifice it took 12 apostles to rear."

Needless to say, Voltaire was less than successful. And on his deathbed, a nurse who attended him was reported to have said, "For all the wealth in Europe, I would not see another atheist die."

The physician, waiting up with Voltaire at his death, said that he cried out with utter desperation, "I am abandoned by God and man. I will give you half of what I am worth if you will give me six months of life. Then I shall go to hell and you will go with me, oh, Christ, oh, Jesus Christ!"

Years later the Geneva Bible Society bought his house and used it to print Bibles. Poor chap --hope in hell he looked up and saw it happen!

No religion is right as none are based on fact or logic.



Placebo effect. The aspect of religion that transforms people's lives is the optimism. Most religious followers chose to dwell only on the optimism in religion and ignore or minimize the larger amount of pessimism.




Faulty reasoning. First of all, what is the danger that you KNOW to be real? Unlike God, the threat of danger can be substantiated so you're whole argument falls flat. You cannot KNOW anything about GOD anymore than I can KNOW about Santa Claus. I can claim for the rest of my life that Santa Claus does in fact exist but what does that really mean if I have no credible proof for the existence of Santa Claus? You cannot prove that Santa Claus doesn't exist and I cannot prove that Santa Claus does exist. It's the same story with God and the burden of proof lies on the person making the claim not the naysayer.

This is a REBUTTAL to Christian claims that atheists are immoral, dumb, or evil. This is not an attack on Christians.
