What a load of crap since they are the ones keeping the regime alive. Europeans are the ones that keep feeding money into the Cuban economy by vacationing there and taking advantage of the cheap/ample prostitution.

I take it you support the embargo. It is because of the U.S embargo that these things happen in the first place.

Blame the hunger striker's death on the uSA? What an idiot. These things happen BECAUSE Castro is one of the riches men in the world, having raped his country for 60 years.

If a young revolutionary Castro type arose today in Cuba he would be shot, or die in a hunger strike.

Hear the testimony of those who knew Ernesto Guevara, alias Che, and of those who suffered from his

many crimes. Of his racist comments against Cubans and Mexicans. The real story of this criminal told by

those who knew him, not the false story told by Hollywood's pro-Castro crowd.

Anatomía de un Mito

THE REAL CHE GUEVARA

"Crazy with fury I will stain my rifle red while slaughtering any enemy that falls in my hands! My nostrils dilate

while savoring the acrid odor of gunpowder and blood. With the deaths of my enemies I prepare my being for

the sacred fight and join the triumphant proletariat with a bestial howl!"

"Hatred as an element of struggle; unbending hatred for the enemy, which pushes a human being beyond his

natural limitations, making him into an effective, violent, selective, and cold-blooded killing machine. This is

what our soldiers must become … " Che Guevara

Nice poster guy - they had his poster hangin up in a Obama election headquarters!

RE: EU condemns Cuba for rights violations --- The European Parliament voted to condemn Cuba
On October 8, Venezuelan vice president Jorge Rodríguez. the Cuban ambassador to Venezuela and other officials of the Cuban and Venezuelan governments, traveled to Pico El Aguila, one of Venezuela's highest mountains, to unveil a monument to Argentine mass murderer che Guevara.

The act was carried live by government television in Venezuela and Cuba and reported in all the official press.

But the monument lasted only nine days. Late last night a group who calls itself "Comando Patriótico del Páramo" hit the monument with machine gun fire.

The monument, that was made of heavy armored glass, was completely destroyed.

Just two days ago while he was visiting Cuba, Hugo Chávez made reference to the monument during a speech that he made at Havana's Palace of Conventions, after signing several economic agreements with acting "president" Raul Castro.

According to Chávez, the monument to che Guevara was proof of the love that the Venezuelan people had for the assassin of hundreds of innocent Cubans.

The Venezuelan government has launched an investigation into the shooting but has not said whether it would be replaced.

The people have spoken!

The international community does this every year since the United Nations was established. They need to move on already.

Tamayo, jailed since 2003 on charges including disrespecting authority, died Tuesday at a hospital in the capital. Fellow dissidents say he had been on a weeks long hunger strike, becoming the first imprisoned opposition figure to die in such a protest in nearly four decades. (AP Photo/Franklin Reyes)

Move on you say? That is exactly the attitude that will ensure that suffering and repression continues for decades to come...

Che Guevara was a hero! And you know what, I can change the name and say the same thing about right wing Christians and still be accurate.. Hmm... Let's see:

Ronald Reagan was an international terrorist and mass murderer.

During his vicious campaigns to impose capitalism on countries throughout Latin America AND THE WORLD, Reagan trained and motivated an army to stop the Nicaraguan revolution and cripple the democracy of that country and bring back the dictator. His guerilla forces started attacking schools and medical clinics, raping, kidnapping, torturing, committing massacres, and mining harbors.

Do you think the evil empire is any better? They would do to Cuba what they did to Nicaragua, Chile, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Iraq and are trying to do with Iran if Fidel allowed dissidents to speak out and rebel against his government. The U.S is a threat to the world, Cuba is not a threat to anyone.

Good post L. The times of Che were very violent and in those times he met violence with violence to win hearts and minds and strike a path forward for the people of the Continent. It is a continent with 100's of thousands of 'disappeared' and numerous dirty wars.
Yes Che was a 'creatue of this times' and knew his enemies would use unspeakable torture against him before killing him should he get caught. The doctrine of the 'ends justifying the means' was common at the time - huge stockpiles of nuclear weapons existed, armies and schools throughout the World taught hatred of enemies. Did you forget it was Regean who brought donw the USSR and communisim (with UK's help) calling it an evil empire?

Did you know he stopped the communist expansion.

Did you know that (FACTS, FACTS FACTS) communist atheist governments in the past 100 years have killed 160 MILLION Of their own people to advance communism?

Did you know Castro has RAPED Cuba for 60 years and is listed by Forbes as one of the worlds richest men?

That is what Regean stopped around the world and you support?
People like you who are WILFULLY ignorant of history are doomed to repeat it.....just like Chavez raping his people after getting Castor to tell him how....

Bringing down the USSR is not an achievement. Especially if it was by using the dirty foul tactics that he used. To me the real evil empire is the U.S. who with its obsession with democratization has destroyed Latin America. I already pointed to Nicaragua, let me move on to Trujillo, a dictator the U.S. supported because he did whatever America wanted him to do. And Fulgencio Batista who was another one controlled by Washington. President Roosevelt of them said "He is a son of a bitch but he is our son of a bitch."

Hitler wasn't a communist and he was not an atheist. Please go back to high school and read Mein Kampf. China and North Korea are not communist governments either. They may call themselves that but their government doesn't fit the description of communism.

Did you know that when Fidel Castro gave his "History Will Absolve Me" speech he promised to fix the problems of Cuba: Health care, jobs, education and land reform. And all he set out to do he did! He lowered the illiteracy rate from 24% to 3% I love telling this story because what he did was amazing: He closed all the Cuban schools for 6 months, and he sent out the teachers to the deep places of Cuba to teach the farmers and the poor to read. And health care, Cuba has one of the best, if not the best health care in all of Latin America. The state of South Carolina has copied his system. In every state and major city there would be a large hospital, and in every district there are smaller clinics with one doctor and a nurse, making it more accessible to to people who live in the smaller far away areas.

The U.S has always been a threat to his government because they can not control him. The Fulgencio Batista government only responded to Washington, the American mafia and the rich sugar land owners. Castro kicked them all out and gave Cuba back to Cubans. The threat of the U.S to all that he had achieved would be going the way Juan Bosch's presidency went: demolished by the CIA.

Washington used the Cuban dissenters in Miami as an excuse to openly meddle in Cuba, placing the embargo, imposing it on every country in the world, and completely destroying the Cuban economy. Even today the U.S is starving the Cubans. And you support this!

It seems that the ignorant is you. I'm sure you don't know about U.S interventionism around the world. You don't even know about Chavez and just swallow all the propaganda that Fox News feeds you. If anyone here needs to get an education is you..
