I think even if they both were passing in front of a Church or when the sound of the bell goes off especially at noon that they would both stop for second to do the very same thing which is the cross sign that they do with their hands by touching the forehead, the center of the chests , the left shoulder and the right then kiss the hand as though they were actually holding the cross in their hand and kiss it, then I feel that they would resume their fights right after doing so. I mean, can you picture or imagine that in a movie (lol)? I know my Nana in DR always carry rosary beads and she holds them all the time when she prays and have a picture of the Virgin mary at the head of her bed. Espaniola siempre hasta muerte, Will P.S: Oh, the colors of the houses is a marginal trend that both Nations have in common. The salmon rose colors, the greens you name the colors... (lol)! My family especially my mother, grams, and I do the same exact thing. Dios le bendiga! |

Lautaro how so very true with what you said about Dominicans and our fondness for loud music! I can't do any house chores without playing some type of music and I've come across many shabby-looking houses in DR that when you go inside they happen to have a state-of-the-art stereo sound system Edited on 7/28/2008 4:42 PM by JEM237. |

Quote: JEM237 previously said: Thanks for your responses so far guys they are all very funny and amusing Indeed yes, indeed JEM! You see, there are things both nations do have in common but are not exposed as they should because some people are set out to make it their mission to show the differences over our human commonality we do have alike. We need more posts like this. On an off topic celebration: I have been given the green light to head back to work with slight conditions of no heavy lifting and no extreme vigorous activities. Funny the doctor said abrupt sexual movement is not recommended. (I was dying when she said that out of the blue). "So Doc, what you are saying is that I have to actually take my time and make love to a girl now and not fuck her like usual (lol)?" I asked her. She laughed and told me to get the hell out and she kissed me goodbye as usual and told me "until our next visit, WILL." I told her, "as fine as you are, I just may hurt my back again just to have a reason to keep seeing you. I love this relationship way too much" she laughed and gave me that look with an inviting smile that if I call her she would definitely be down to kick it with me. I do not think I could let go of my Doctor because I have been seeing her medically for 15 months now and our visits are always long because we talk about all sort of things more than I do with any girls I have ever been in a relationship with. I think I may be in love with my female Doctor y'all. I mean, we did go to lunch a couple of times before when our appointments fall right before lunch. She is only 32 years old and she is Asian-German & Black. Advice anybody? Edited on 7/28/2008 5:02 PM by AfroLatino. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

If she gave you an inviting/insinuating smile that leads to you to believe that she would indeed kick it with you, then go ahead and make a move, the worst thing she can say is No, and that won't be the end of the world. |

Like those songs, "Te gusta el pollo, comete ete' cocote", "cuando tu comes camaron te gusta que te halan por los monios"....etc.....Among many other examples. |

Yeah, I think I should because we always talk about things that usually are not pertaining to my visit with her such as gender clash issues and all. Lastly, she's already seen my penis and gave me a rectal exam during my physicals (lol). I have a clean bill of health and there once a time she told me that something is making my heart beat jumps and wanted me to calm down and breath and little did she know, every time she gets near me to check my eyes and stuff of that sort "bam" her cleavage right there in my face and I always tend to get a boner with here being close to me. I think she now knows that she has been the cause of those slight irregularities. Thus there is no barriers I could think of. In a sense, I am more involved with her than I have with any girls I have dated and a longer duration. Is this not so weird? P.S: Because my back condition has improved and all, my next meeting with her is not until mid september. That is too long of a time to wait to not being able to see her. I am trying my best not to become obsessed with her because I know people like to find comfort in cliches of Service Members as crazies simply because we have been to combat. I never asked her if she was single or not. I did not want to know so that I did not ruin this precious exciting feeling I have been feeling for her. Then again, she gets to see a lot of other military patients, so I am not sure if they all do not feel something similar to what I am experiencing. They must be, because those bastards never miss their appointments (lol)!!! Anyway, I will move on and she will be alright and so will I, I suppose. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Lol, yes he is funny....Thank you for previous posts by the way with the links on facebook, I'll probably join them too (if I haven't already that is lol). I actually have a similar list called "You Know You're Latino If...." on my myspace page. Many nationalities just copy this list and apply it to their own country because there are so many similarities between the countries in the caribbean and latin america overall. |
