DREADLOCKS, SAID arcatype, i do not think it is productive for me to continue this exchange, because i cannot follow what you are trying to say. how can i argue with a person who has no idea of the literacy achievements of Cuba?
Despite there achievements, tell me how great is living in Cuba? You see you are a leftist ignorant fool. As much as people hate capitalism it rules the world economies, is it good or perfect unfortunately no! but is better then communism or whatever they call that system in Cuba.

can anyone out in the blogosphere believe what they just saw? i mean , i am trying my darnedest to be civil to this semi literate country bumpkin arcatype, and he responds by calling me a fool, and ignorant, to boot. it is all my fault for entertaining this neanderthal, uneducated moron, who, before he ran off to wikipedia tonight, had never heard of Barbados. it is simpletons like this who give dominicans a bad name. people like Mr Lautaro, ladronaso, Frank the Tank, Baldoria cibaeno, and the rest of the pantheon of highly educated, intelligent Dominicans are making their mark with brilliant observations, and you come along and devalue their product. arcatype, you are a liability to civilisation. you are lasting proof to my contention that there is no limit to how stupid humanity can be. you have absolutely no shame. a man who does not even know if Barbados is still a colony has no business conversing with others. now crawl back in your hole under the earth and continue foraging for earthworms. you are not yet prepared for life above ground.

RE: Again and Again: What the Government SHOULD Do...
In fact, engineering schools should be for free in order to attract more students. Good schools are run as businesses in this country.
Good free schools will not happen in this country.

The more sophisticated the products are which are made in the Dominican Republic, the wealthier the nation will be.
Even without that kind of production the DR is not really a poor nation.
It's just so that the wealth is not distributed in a 'normal way'...

(...) to have enough money to pay for all those expensive and high value added consumer goods, like cars, TVs, computers, etc.
Don't worry the money is there.
This country is so rich in US$ that it can even manage an artificial exchange rate.
Where the money comes from?
No, I shall not elaborate.
because their agriculture system is totally mechanised, so it is very efficient.
The farming conditions in this country are not suitable to be highly mechanised. Many of the crops are not either.

Two people on one modern Western farm can do the same job more than let's say 30 people would do in a farm in a developing country.
Interesting....
And that's why the unemployment rate here is so high?

amoree, have a good night. having something to look forward to is what makes life interesting. i thought that i had heard from the most idiotic people possible by now, but, having read arcatypte and carbelk 99, i now realise that i have just begun to scratch the surface. it is so interesting to know that these are people capable of such stupidity and ignorance , yet they are able to use a computer. ain't life interesting?
