Hi guys, I'd like to know from people that know both cultures, which things the Dominican Republic has in common with Haiti?

Please do not use this thread for racist remarks nor for posting your day-to-day frustrations. Let's keep it cool.

We share the island... Thats it.

Everything else, the Haitian have copied from us or are naturally found on both side of the island...

Oh Lord I am so shocked. I could not beleive that two people who share the same history and the same island for more than 500 years could have had so much in common
I could not beleive two people who have been interbreeding for so many years are so culturally close
oh my god i am so naive and so ignorant and so stupid.

More than 500 years would have been 1508, at that point, Indians and Spaniards were still friends. I doubt there was a strand of coiled hair in the island more than 500 years ago.
