Obviously you just cut and pasted without doing any research at all. Quote which one, you beg to differ. and i will find more resources and Post. Ok Lets start with the first one. A Guatemalan army garrisson surrender to the rebels and the rest of the Army stopped fighting for the Arbenz Government for his anti-military programs. Realizing that he had no support from the army Arbenz freely resigned on june 27th in front of his cabinet with no military present or even in the area. Yes the CIA supported the rebels, all 480 of them but Arbenz resigned freely of his own will without being forced. Ok here this Resource is from the "The George Washington University" site i have not finish reading yet but its pretty good stuff and declassified documents as well. Just paste the link next time and let everyone choose if they want to read it. I like this one http://www-cgsc.army.mil/carl/resources/csi/yates/yates.as It does question why LBJ decided to send troops down here Should have just left it alone and let the Dominicans' fight their own fight. Too late now and can't dwell on the past but can hopefully learn from the mistakes. |

I've been lurking around the sidelines and tend to withhold my comments when I strongly disagree and since I mostly 'strongly' disagree with many of the characters that comment on this site, I choose to stay quiet. Hey... its no fun beating a dead horse and many of the ppl here have the robot syndrome, which they seem to have been programmed to think (not believe, they don't understand this concept) and have the same opinion about everything even if they contradict themselves.Their left brain is always right and their right brain is always left. go figure.
