RE: Ready for change, are you?
you see, GC, when you refer to "left wing weanies" and anti-american whiners, i ask myself "what does that have to do with the DR? too many north americans have turned this board into some kind of ideological battleground, which is better fought, to my thinking, somehere else. i really do not think that every time an issue is addressed regarding a problem in the DR, we need people like texasshoe regailng us with his parallel adventures in venezuela. you have a beef wih chavez, go take it to a venezuelan site. people here are trying to ventilate local issues. i really do not give a rats arse if Charlie Rangel did not pay taxes on some condo in bavaro, or whatever. if that is supposed to be some indicator that democrats are dishonest, then repeat it to your hearts content. this is just entirely too silly for my tastes.

exactly, GC. but belial gets baited by repeated references to socialist states, which only serve to rile him up. it might make for entertaining theater, but, the 64 dollar question still remains "what does that have to do with us here"? so he goes off on the marxist trail, then all his detractors pile on from the other side. meanwhile, dominicans, for whom i assume the site was primarliy created, look from a safe distance and wonder "what the hell is going on here"?

Frank made a good explanation for his diminished output we certainly would not want you to commit Sepuku again and fall on your pen so to speak

Carlos Franco, i see where you give me dismissive " thanks" for my post, informing me that you knew everything i wrote about. if you did, how could you have written such a dim witted article? you are the ignoramus who appears not to have known the difference betweeen an islamist and a terrorist. no need to get mad at me for your academic shortcomings. just keep going to school, and you may learn something. secondly, you assert that when we get nuclear power( which we already have), we will no longer have to fight energy wars. nuclear power is used mainly for generation of electricity. over 50% of energy generated in the usa comes from coal alone. then there are other major sources such as hydro. not to mention the electricity we buy from canada. it is not the generation of electricity which causes high consumption of fossil fuels, it is internal combustion engines of all types. in your case, Carlos, you prove the old bromide that " a little learning is a dangerous thing". you have such little learning, you are thermonuclear. and, Carlos, at least when i leave, i take my intellect with me. in your case, you just take a vaccuum of information , and inability to behave like a civilised person. your choice of words in your postings leaves me to conclude that you cannot possibly be very urbane , but, then again, it is your right to be a boor!

Lets post our qualifications and see who the real ignorant is... what do you say?

I say what i've learned and do express my opinions very loudly... THATS WHAT THE INTERNET IS FOR Had you not been such as smart-ass maybe it wouldn't have come down to this! I am ready for intelligent conversations... and always quote my sources... something you proved unable to do, inspite of me asking you time and time again?

Carlos, do not embarass yourself by inviting a contest of qualifications with me. you see, one of the rules of being a trial lawyer is that you never ask a question to which you do not know the answer. you do not know what my bona fides are, and i do not know yours. i would not challenge you, because i do not know what you bring. let us just say that i studied with the world bank institute ON INVITATION; i didn't apply to them, they wrote me. i have been offered six postgraduate scholarships , and recused myself from consideration for the Rhodes scholarship , because of my politics at that age. from the way you think and write , i do not believe you can top that. i may be old and tired by now, but you ain't in my league!!

how about one thing i know? the thing that says you are a rampaging idiot, recognised the board over as a know nothing moron? how about that? you told people on this board that you have a doctorate, and you have the intellectual capacity of a five year old. stick to auto racing; at least you know the subject. leave the rest to people with brains.

I won't lie... that sounds impressive. But then again my questions were history related... You fail to answer them... While i don't have all those impressive offers and while i still have not finished my bacholors degree I considered myself well educated in the history of DR and rightfully so. I read books on her history just for fun. Your passive nature pisses me off. DR has been a puppet of powerful countries and of the lowest one as well and thats not how a country rises to greatness, thats how countries are used.

PS the World Bank institude is a branch of the agency that governs the world order... or simply put, Why DR and so many other countries remains poor. I think you made a patriotic choice in not joining them. That being said...

You may call a cat a fish but it will not swim... You failed to comment on the events i posted. You remind me of my cousin. She's accountant, or better yet, she's economically successful, therefore she feels like she knows about everything. Just because you're good a something doesn't mean you are good at something else.

As for me, all I know is that I know nothing. SOCRATES

I would have to say that much of the ills suffered by the DR cannot be blamed solely on the U.S or other powerful nations. Much of the problems in DR reside in our own unwillingness to recognize that the problem and the cure both are endemic. We as people can not expect others to solve our problems. But as long as we have a powerful bourgeoisie, and an obliging society, we will never be able to crawl out of our hole.
Why wont Dminincan Republic prosper?

Because Dominicans are just plain to Stupid
