Exactly!

Carlos, if there is one thing you have to concede , it is that things are not working in their present guise. and waiting, and hoping, that they will change evolutionally, is a failing strategy. things are never going to change without a revolution, but such a revolution does not have to be armed strife. there can be a grassroots appeal to people to re-format their thinking, to think of the current state of affairs as a sinking ship in need of many lifeboats!

Yes, what I'm proposing is that we begin to explore other real possibilities. Our so called leaders have done nothing, and there are three choices. Continuing with the status quo; waiting for the mindset of Dominicans on the Island to evolve to higher thinking; or to stimulate and create a unique perspective and alternative to the current offerings.

Real change starts with the re-education of the filth that has been taught to many whom in return have used this filth as we to remain in the obscurity provided by fear, hate and so forth which have caused many to even forget their own humanity and humane common senses and grounds. To be ready for change means also you are ready to be re-educated is really the point of what I am trying to say, but we all know many stubborn fools will not be reciprocal to that. So I see change in some people as simply wishful thinking.

Yea tell Leonel to hand over the government to you Ladronazo... Inform me when he answers.

What you're talking about is a Revolution... We don't need that, we can solve our issue the democratic way.... bloodless

CarlosFranco, it would be Crazy, to talk about a bloody revolution,on a forum, with all these Spies and Propagandists, prowling on DT

So whats Good Ladronaso, I'm Ready and "willing" to contribute to change in DR.

But first would it not, be preferable for People who are " willing", for them to be residing in DR ?

I feel you 100% on all that you wrote, as well Dread and Afro, but like Afro said re-eduction is a first step, we will have to take it to the Streets and Campos, and Educate the People.

We will need the support of the Masses, to Change the course, of which this this Country is moving towards.

I do agree with you that the willing should reside in DR. This is a must. it would not be prudent to attempt otherwise. Locals in DR must be the vehicle by which ideas should move.

I also to an extent give some credibility to issue of spies. I think that the first order of business would be to organize into a focus group and find common grounds, a meeting of the minds so to speak. This can be accomplished by passing the word of what is to become a new idea and vision for change.

I am in agreement with eliminating illiteracy, but I do think that in order to tackle this bull a serious approach must be taken to the latter. I feel passionately about fighting illiteracy, but fighting illiteracy is not the panacea to our quintessential dilemma, Corruption. Eliminating illiteracy will not change the mindset of DR with regards to corruption and malfeasance. It will only allow them to do it in a more articulate manner.

RE: Ready for change, are you?
I agree with Cib this would be a great step, as opposed to the direction I sense earlier of moralizing against 'corruption'. My mom has told me when she was a young teacher in DR she was involved in remote teaching via radio sets. Eventually she herself would go to the remote locations to test the children taught by radio. This doesn't sound like an expensive proposition. Teaching someone literacy and critical thinking when they are young is second only to feeding/sheltering them. If you don't learn to read young you almost don't have a chance in hell in todays world. I'd wager there is a more direct correlation between increased literacy/per capita GDP than decreased corruption/per capita GDP.
