No Revolution has ever been lead by the "masses" It has always been supported buy people who are rich and powerful who want change......usually to improve their own situation. That is the way it happened in the US revolution, the Russian Revolution, the Cuban Revolution, Phillipines, Nicaragua,........the list goes on and on. No you don't... You just need alot of pissed off people... Baniter's collapse should have been enough to get the people marching on the streets. To your second statement... The French hung their rich and powerful and the educated non-royal took over.... plus the april war in 1965 in DR happened because of Caamano who wanted to reinstate Juan Bosch as the rightful president of the republic... He had no money and people supported the revolution for a revolution in DR you will need money for weapons, ammo, you must first get the people/ public on your side b4 a revolution.... you must educated them about the topics |

You’re just mad that a lot of those Dominicans and members of 14 de Junio members trained in Cuba. And received support from Castro….. And they all still lost. Vietnam is another perfect example. Ho CHi Min, Giap...both highly educated. Money from the USSR and the PRC. |

You never enter a war unless you have a reasonable assurance you are going to win. The Commies who fought for Castro in the D.R. were saddly mistaken. |

And if you do enter a war thinking you are going to win, you better have a good plan to leave. A good exit strategy. Number one mistake of the U.S. in Iraq Second, why is everyone talking about revolution specifically armed revolutions. To bring about change in DR an armed social revolution is not necessary. Yes money has always played in important part and will always continue to do so. But to attract money you must have a good idea, plan and effective communication strategy. One that can reach all segments of society. Unfortunately this is a major hurdle. Edited on 9/3/2008 12:53 PM by ladronaso. So, you don't like what's happening in DR.... |
