DREADLOCKS

I am very aware of the needs for better government... But going back to the Haitian issue, and please tell if you disagree... DR is building fast... whether it is hotel for the rich or apartments... doesn't matter what, constructions are taking place. If there were no haitian in DR these industry would not stop from building... They won't... DR is a moneymaker... What they will do is PAY more to Dominican citizens to have these buildings made... That in turn would give dominican citizens more money to improve their lives, better housing, unemployment would drop lower than what it is, etc.... If having haitians is the essense of progress why is Haiti in such a poor condition and hardly anyone invests there?

Dominicans don't like constructions because it pays low... Here in the US I have seen WHITE PEOPLE working on construction... and not just any white as in Russian and Polish immigrants from the 1990's... I mean White boys who are 2 and 3 generations... They do it Because IT PAYS $40 an hour... If the same were to happen in DR we could see many young dominicans making a decent living by working these projects that will take place no matter who says what!!!

You can apply your very flawed logic to the mexicans crossing the border in the US.

Yes it can be apply but since am not talking about Mexicans only haitians then it only applies to the Haitians...

RE: Obama's impact...
It just dawned on me McCain is the better candidate because Daddy Yankee said so. Discuss.
I'm sorry, I can't hear you over the sound of how awesome I am.

Manhattanite, are you awarding college credits for any meaningful insights pertaining to Daddy Yankee's sagacious thoughts?

Indeed I offer a full fledged BS to whoever can best present a thesis on ' Democrats, Dominicans and the Deconstructionist Discourse of Daddy Yankee'.

Well Carlos your theory make some sense in writing, however can you point the forum to one successful example that can support your assumption as such. Do you have any familiarity with the basic law of supply and demand, or the law of ROI these should help clarify why your comment above is a simple utopia .
We must accept finite disappointment, but never lose infinite hope.

It just came to my mind that because you're cuban, you won't be able to understand since you are in a similar situation as the Haitians... Sorry but i think my statement above is simple enough and anyone with common sense or has basic mathematical skills should be able to figure it out...

Some things in life are simpler than what they may seem
