anthonyc. i am done discussing the concept of equal work for equal pay with you. my dog understands the idea, and, even though he is infinitely more intelligent than you are, i thought it would somehow seep into your head, despite your obtuseness. my mother always told me not to waste time arguing with a fool. i am following her advice in your case.

So, once again, you give up because you know you cannot defend your beliefs!!!!

no, anthonyc; i give up because you are too idiotic to understand a simple concept. this is the knid of stuff that kindergarten children can understand. why am i arguing with a guy who believes that you need to have studied statistics to be able to do long division? the topic of the last few days is the impending demise of the forum, which is being occasioned by nincompoops like yourself, who refuse to be quiet and learn something.you bring your right wing, anti castro, anri chavez, anti every socialist agenda to DRI, and trash the board. why don't you take your crap with you to some right wing website, and allow dominicans to ventilate their issues on their board? maybe, you would find the time to look for trinidad on the map. wikipedia will tell you it has oil.

He, he he.

My, My.....You get soooooo angry when you loose......AGAIN!!!!

Now back to the subject at hand.

It is pretty much agreed upon that an Obama presidency will be similar to a Jimmy Carter's in that he will have a foreign policy along the lines of Amnesty International.

With Obama beholding to the Black Congressional Caucus can one expect sanctions against the D.R. on the Haitian issue?

agreed upon by whom, anthonyc? would you care to adumbrate the issues of the carter presidency which were peculiarly carterian? everyone trashes jimmy carter because of the state of the economy when he left office. i would like their opinion on the american economy today. guys like you love it , because more and more people are losing their jobs and being impoverished. makes for more people like yourself to exploit. you and i will never see eye to eye on anything. firstly, i am assured in my mind that you and others on this forum , deep inside, do not believe that a black should be president. but i cannot change that, and, sadly, we will dance around in circles while you try to sophisticate your racism. i have got to find a different place to express my ideas. this is a cesspool here.

RE: Obama's impact...
there seems to be the belief that if the democrats win the presidential election, it will be negative for the DR. any way, let me suggest a more daunting set of possibilities. the republicans win the general election. hispanics vote in droves for mccain, driving an irreparable wedge between themselves and african americans. two years down the road, the democrats win several more congressional and senate seats. they have enough representation in congress to override a presidential veto. what do you think they are going to do to latino countries? do you think the black congressional caucus is going to be kindly disposed to the DR? nope; and they are going to take revenge, if not today, tomorrow.

Nicaragua, Iran, Mariel boatlift.....the list is long.

Carter is famous for abandoning U.S. allies without anticipationg the alternatives. Yes, Somoza and the Shah were A-holes but his unilateral abandonment without considering the alternatives just caused chaos and created suspicion among our other allies.
His actions with Somoza just caused 10 more years of strife in Central America and we all know how Well Iran turned out.

What he should have done was pressure our allies to change. Something Reagan was a master at.

well, anthony, there are people who would not like to see irreparable rifts between any groups of people. you, i know, would like to array the whole world against black people. thank God , you are ineffectual in that respect. should you not be off somewhere polishing the briefcase of some of the rich guys whose asses you kiss with such alacrity and aplomb?
