Well said dread, I found it quite interesting that the race is that close, after 8 years of debacle from the republicans, that goes without saying there are still some significant pool of racist hillbillies that will not for Obama no matter what. What you fail to realize is that these people for other countries want Obama to be President of the U.S. If you asked them if they would vote for Obama to be President of their own country you can be sure the answer would be different. Some of the Countries they took the Poll in were Russia, China, , China, Egypt, Indonesia, Kenya, Lebanon, Nigeria and the UAE. If you asked me I would vote for Obama to be President of those countries. Proof of dreadlocks Bigotry. "Likely Damaging" Report on Governor Scheduled for Release Days Before November Election By BRIAN ROSS http://abcnews.go.com/Blotter/story?id=5702697&page=1 Believe me, you´re not the only one that have questioned the rationality (or lack thereof) of the americans. You'd think that the debacle on Iraq would have been enough to get Bush sacked from power on 2004, or at the very least, to get an impeachment at the end of the current mandate. Not only they have defied human rationality by reelecting him on 2004, but apparently, they'll let him get away with his crimes. While I agree with you that the demographics will favor the current minority groups twenty years from now (specially the latino community), I don't think that it will be enough to guarantee a change in the way of things in the US, specially if the WASP's drop their arrogant attitude and start considering the adoption of the strategy of driving a wedge in the relationship between latinos and african americans, which can be done by granting privileges to one while neglecting the other.
