How on earth does one close their account on here?!? I've been trying for like 20 minutes and I can't seem to find out how!

unless something sinister is happening, this site seems to be going belly up. the postings are getting slower every day, and interest seems to be on the wane. the comments section seems to be particularly inert. i wonder why? i can speculate, but i will hold my tongue.
