McCain warned of the coming mortgage crisis as he pressed in 2005 for regulatory reform of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. "For years I have been concerned about the regulatory structure that governs Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac – known as government-sponsored entities or GSEs – and the sheer magnitude of these companies and the role they play in the housing market," McCain said on the floor of the Senate in 2005, speaking in favor of the Federal Housing Enterprise Regulatory Reform Act of 2005. McCain pointed out Fannie Mae's regulator had stated the company's quarterly reports of profit growth over the past few years were "illusions deliberately and systematically created" by the company's senior management, which resulted in a $10.6 billion accounting scandal. lets get ready to RUUMMMMMMBBBLLLEE |

Regulatory reform.. hmm. Only things left to think about are the fact that he (McCain, like Obama), is part of the power of the purse=congress and now that the government owns (primarily fiscally) these corporate banking giants, the money that is made through revenue from loans needs to be put in a position to help the taxpayer whose busting his or her chops to pay for all these billions. Whether it be for SSI (that's social security) or for those extremely, exciting, and dazzling, DREAMY extra stimulus checks for us little gente! Something better happen for us taxpayin' machines cause' if it doesn't happen, well, let's hope karma doesn't end up paying a not-so-nice visit. Edited on 9/20/2008 5:05 PM by talia. GC nice try,do a little more research you will find out MCsame,Graham and the republic crew have enable legislations that are presently affecting the financial sectors. Mcsame prediction have nothing to do with understanding of economics, he was rather commenting on his failure to graps the consequences of his own policies in deregulating the financial market We must accept finite disappointment, but never lose infinite hope. |

Quote: Hey Texas, There was no video, but I try to fix the link for you... However, I am not sure if it is working now. Did you know when you go to YouTube, you can simply copy the coordinates at the very end of the link after the "= Equal" sign which are usually some numbers and letters like this X346U109Chs. It has to be taken from the URL link given which you can get at the very bottom right of the YouTube video screen of the video by clicking on it once. Then when you come on here, simply paste it, highlight it and then click that little "YouTube" box you see by the color tools above there when writing your replies. By the way, thanks on your reply about the Oil Information question I have asked you earlier this week end. I researched and read about some of the things you have wrote, most of them if not all, do checked out and it seems that you are quite knowledgeable in that area given as you stated that you are an oil man an all. So when can we talk investment prospects (lol)? You can even hypertext the links by clicking on the little "World Globe Chain Link" picture above as well. Do the same for pictures by clicking the little frame of the "Mountain & Sun" image up there , too. Later pal, Will Rosenberg Edited on 10/27/2008 6:20 PM by AfroLatino. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
