He surfaced in 1980, along with his wife and fellow terrorist, Bernardine Dohrn; a technicality then erased the federal charges against them. And he seems proud of his actions. "I don't regret setting bombs . . . I feel we didn't do enough," he told The New York Times in 2001. Quite frankly, why such a despicable character shouldn't be persona non grata to anyone aspiring for responsible political office is beyond us. But Ayers - who Obama meekly dismisses as "a guy in my neighborhood" - played a key role in the senator's rise. In 1995, for example, Obama was named chairman of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge - Ayers' "school reform" outfit. Later that year, Ayers and Dohrn personally hosted an organizing meeting for Obama's first state Senate campaign. True, Ayers had long been part of Chicago's political culture. But that says more about Chicago than about Ayers. Obama has some explaining to do. lets get ready to RUUMMMMMMBBBLLLEE |

McCain voted with Bush 90% of the time. You have a very simple decision to make. Do you think America is better today than it was 8 years ago? |

We are, in 2008, witnessing the demise of an Empire: The U.S has lost its Implicit Moral Authority; Its economy is one financial institution failure away from becoming third-world rate; its cultural pre-eminence has been diluted to the point of irrelevance and its military power, as an extension of its foreign policy, is all brunt and no brains. Pre-eminence power at the level enjoyed by the U.S is more a question of global consensus than nationalistic will. The moment the world decides it no longer wishes to be lead by the U.S, its "power" becomes irrelevant and while it still has the means to turn the whole of the planet into a self-lighting, glow-in-the-dark parking lot, the chances of using this as leverage to impose its will on the world (or any other country for that matter) no longer holds true. AT this point, in my humble opinion, the only to stave off the inevitable would be for the U.S to tell the world in a clear, unambiguous voice: We lost our way. We took the world confidence for granted and squandered a golden opportunity to lead the world. We get it; we screwed up and if given another chance we will live to our potential and expectations...Electing the First Minority President; one that embodies the idea of radical change in the way the U.S does business with the world will send a clear message to the world that the U.S is back in business. The business of Leading. Edited on 9/18/2008 11:49 PM by jacirez. - EVERY elevation of the type ‘man,’ has hitherto been the work of an aristocratic society and so it will always be—a society believing in a long scale of gradations of rank and differences of worth among human beings, and requiring slavery in some form or other. - |

Joe Biden suggested that everybody should bite the bullet and sacrifice to save the country. then, the imbecile Sarah Palin, who believes dinosaurs were on the earth 6000 years ago, comes right back with the tax cut mantra. i hope the republicans win. for a drug abuser to change his ways, he has to hit rock bottom. i say, let McCain and Palin take them down the drain. then they just might wake up. |

Its not funny oh its okay, but what I found interesting is the date november 5th in that movie right after you know what. With all this talk of give the companies billions of this and billions of that I can't help but wonder what lies ahead of this. The big spender is also the pauper. What has McCain or Obama said about this? oops mum's the word! Dios le bendiga! “Someday, after mastering the winds, the waves, the tides and gravity, we shall harness for God the energies of love, and then, for a second time in the history of the world, man will have discovered fire.” Pierre Teilhard de Chardin |
