McCain agreed with Obama to make a joint statement to the nation, then runs off on his own to seek political advantage by claiming he is suspending his campaign to help with the economic crisis. what mystifies me is what help he thinks he can give, already having admitted to be an ignoramus of economic matters.

The Obama press release stated that "we asked the McCain campaign to issue a joint statement and we are awaiting a reply" The reply was that we should postpone the debate to address the nations need.
