RE: Like's and don't like's in the Dominican Republic
Thats a difficult question to answer because many people opinions will vary due to whatever part of the country they have experienced the most, Take CarlosFranco who is a capitaleno..His opinions will be that of a metropolitano while myself as a cibaeno will be that of a smalltown life.

I like the produce, the peaceful life, the music, the beer, the Ladies, the vehicles, the countryside, the capital, and the people.

I Dislike: the cops, the corruption, the president, his cronies, the poverty, the drugs, the delincuencia, bad roads, esp potholes, proud rich folks, and the loss of good morale.

I pretty much agree with everything you said except that of course instead of Ladies I prefer Men and I wouldn't just say the current president and all of his "cronies' but just about ALL politicians in DR suck. I also dislike all the poor people wanting to live beyond their means therefore one of major reasons behind the delincuencia along with the loss of good morale that you mentioned.

The part that you mentioned about individuals as far as the poor living beyond their means is so true especially when you go into a tin shack and see a state of the art television.

No I think he means that he dislikes people with money who are full of themselves, who demean and belittle others because of what they have. I have no problem with anyone whether they have money or not. I only have problems with the way others behave and how they treat others.
