Any advice on where to buy, best prices, lcd led or plasma, brands, recent experiences purchasing tv etc... would be greatly appreciated!

I don't know if this is the best place to get that kind of information. Have you researched "Consumers Report"?

Just my opinion: if you want a HDTV for movie and sports get a Plasma 1080p, if not , and you want a HDTV for gaming(PS3 etc..) your better off with a LCD 1080p .

I just order a Sony LCD 1080p at Amazon.com for nearly $500.00, i can't wait to check it out.

I was actually looking around last week for a 52 inch screen and was comparing prices and guarantee and brands and I think that Plaza lama in Duarte was the best place ..with mainly LG and Sony brands and a good selection ..
I always think that with electrical appliances where you may have to rely on a guarantee it is good to stay with the more established shops.

I just bought a 42 inch LG plasma 600hz- 3,000,000 to 1- 1080p full hdtv that came with a -free- lg hd DVD player -worth around 3,000- for 32,0000 RD at PLAZA LAMA with 3 year guarantee as well a a wall mount for another 3,000. Installed it all yesterday and am very pleased.
