La Plaza comercial Ágora Mall, construido en un tiempo de dos años con una inversión cercana a los US$100 millones, abrirá sus puertas el 16 de julio con sus establecimientos anclas Jumbo, Happyland, Casa Cuesta y el 60% de las tiendas. Ágora Mall, el centro comercial más moderno del país y el único edificio comercial verde del Caribe, cuenta con 120 mil metros cuadrados que alojarán 180 tiendas distribuidos en una moderna infraestructura de cuatros niveles con dos niveles de soterrado y una torre de parqueos con capacidad para 1800 vehículos. Ya con el 100% de los locales alquilados, el 16 de julio entrarán en operaciones alrededor del 60% de las tiendas, las cuales se complementarán para el mes de agosto 2012 con el restante 40%. En adición a las mejores tiendas nacionales e internacionales existentes en el país, más de 30 nuevas marcas se estrenarán en el mercado dominicano utilizando a Ágora Mall como puerta. Asimismo, para la fecha de preapertura estarán funcionando los establecimientos anclas del mall. En el primer y segundo nivel estará presente el hipermercado JUMBO. En el tercer nivel abrirá sus puertas Casa Cuesta con la variedad y opciones para el hogar y estilo de vida, y en el último nivel de Ágora Mall, denominado El Jardín, se ha concentrado un verdadero centro de entretenimiento y diversión familiar con Palacio del Cine y el más grande parque de juegos de Happyland, más un área de 25 opciones entre comida rápida y restaurantes tipo casual dining. Entre los diferenciales de Palacio del Cine es que además de usar tecnología de punta, en las 7 salas, las butacas son más amplias.
