What is this trend trying to tell us?
I took snap shots on September for $Gold index – 24-hour New York spot gold price for the last 20 years.
Look at the inflection point around 09/2001.
I was trying to attach a chart for 20 year period for $Gold or GLD but I do not know how to do it. It just does not look good, especially if at same time you look at 20 -year chart for the $TNX (10-Year Treasury Note yield) or $TNY (30-Year T-Bond Yield).

Is terrorism winning the war?
Or is it just pure coincidence?

Are you asking if anyone else has noticed that the price of Gold has been going up?

Or are you pointing out that the price of Gold has more than doubled in less than 3 years since Obama took office?

If you would have done more research you would have learned that Gold also had a huge spike in prices when Carter was President also.

I most certainly do not believe there is any primary correlation between Obama and the gold price .Obama inherited the costly wars in two countries , massive economic turmoil in the USA that threatened many industries and jobs and I doubt if anyone could have quickly solved the problems that he started with .In addition he , as a socialistic person was faced with a very bad health system that for decades had been been a problem . But even with the wars , the terrorists , the bad world wide economy there were problems with the euro and many european countries .
The huge rise in gold is a reflection of the doubts that people have in most other safe havens for investments and is not a refection on Obama ..my opinion

Did you also notice how it now gets darker after sundown, same as when Carter was president. You will use any comparison, relative or not and preferably duplicitous to advance your agenda by way of a preconceived narrative, that completely marginalizes any logical remedy. Did you notice how Reagan raised taxes 11 times during his two term administration or how he tripled the national deficit during his tenure. Should those remedies of economic correction be allowed to the current president? If President Obama enacted those same applications he would be called a traitor by you and your pamphlet knowledge based talking point set, who now refer to Reagan as a savior. Why is it ok for Cheney to proclaim that economic deficits don't matter to the outrage of no one in your ditto head lemmings community, however, if President Obama would make the same claim, your head would explode, and of course, nothing would come out.
