Beware private information.
The local agent of one of the DR's premier forwarding agencies has been pressurizing me for a bank statement showing a small amount 49 dollars.

They are claiming customs need it.

I have shown the invoice for the item and they have the part number so they can check the price on Amazon etc..

Bank statements contain other confidential information - complete credit card number etc.

So just be warned if someone tries this on you.

In hindsight it would have been better to use a cash purchase limited amount credit card.

When you enter credit card information on line you have a secure connection and more often than not the retailer etc. doesn't have access to the full details.

S.
